Throwing a Daddy Diaper Party

At traditional baby showers with all women, new moms get a chance to learn from other moms and get their best advice for the new baby, whether it was my first-time mom fears about nursing or second-time concerns about juggling two children.

Why not give the new dad a chance to hang out with his friends and family to learn from their experience. A Daddy Diaper Party is the perfect excuse to get the guys together and celebrate impending fatherhood.

And since many men are slightly less likely than my friends to spend an afternoon picking out frilly newborn outfits, a diaper party makes it easy on everyone.

Friends can pick up a pack of diapers in any size – it’s pretty handy that diapers already come all wrapped up and ready to gift! Or a cute diaper cake. We have some right here.

Or, in a bit of self promotion, what dad wouldn’t appreciate our Daddy Diaper Tool Belt.

When looking at all the details, the main thing to keep in mind is to keep everything as minimal and masculine as possible. He is (most likely) not going to be interested in all of the frou-frou decorations and cutesy gifts.

However, the basic elements of a baby shower can be included, such as invitations, decorations, food, games, gifts, and party favors, just with a more simple, manly feel.

Here are some ideas for a Dad Diaper Party :

Diapers and Diamonds
For the dads who would rather not play silly baby shower games, but love a good competition, poker or another card game is a perfect combination with Pampers. Up the ante by using diapers instead of chips!

Babies and Barbeque
Who needs a cute little macaroon when you could have a burger instead? Fire up the grill and let everyone hang out together on the patio with a good meal. One table for the food, one table for the diapers.

Nuna Children's Gear

Baby Bowl Game
Playing any contact sport is a very bad idea for a pregnant woman, but a perfect dad shower activity. Plan a football, basketball or soccer game during the party. It’s also a good warm-up for all those beautiful spiral or three point throws of a used diaper into the garbage the new dad will be making in the next few months.

Dress Like a Dad Movie Night
Break out your favorite black socks and sandals or cardigan sweater and gather together for dad jokes and the best dad movies you can think of.

No matter what theme you choose, it’s important to celebrate your partner and get excited about the birth of your new little one.
